As Head of the Department for Science Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, I supervised staff, maintained contacts with key R&D partners, finalized reports for political decision-makers, and organized R&D events both domestically and at foreign missions abroad, while also controlling the financial execution of these activities. During my seven years specializing in science diplomacy, I gained a comprehensive understanding of our nation’s scientific partnerships and collaborations. I monitored and analyzed research, development, innovation, and science policies, supporting key political decisions in Hungary. I promoted the achievements of Hungarian science policy, shared insights into our initiatives, and highlighted opportunities for international cooperation. Additionally, I built strong relationships between Hungarian and international institutions, enhancing the integration of Hungarian research within the European and global landscape.
In 2023, I transitioned to the Ministry of Culture and Innovation as Head of the Department for Science Policy and International Scientific Cooperation, where I can directly influence innovation policy decisions. I support the Deputy State Secretary for Innovation and work on strategic initiatives, fostering relationships with various domestic and international scientific and innovation organizations. In cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, I also oversee the network of Hungarian science and technology attachés in key partner countries, who are essential for cultivating bilateral relations, coordinating R&D efforts, and promoting the economic utilization of our research achievements.
