Energy Technology and Transport Analyst

Elizabeth Connelly is currently leading the transport analysis in the Energy Technology Policy division of the International Energy Agency (IEA). Her work includes scenario modelling, life cycle assessment, and techno-economic analysis of clean energy technologies. She serves as the coordinator and lead author of the annual Global EV Outlook report, which tracks technology and policy progress related to electric vehicles. She has also contributed to other key IEA publications including the Net Zero Roadmap, the Global Hydrogen Review report series and the Tracking Clean Energy Progress output. She currently serves as the desk officer for the Hybrid and Electric Vehicles and Advanced Fuel Cell Technology Collaboration Programmes. Before joining the IEA, Elizabeth worked at the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory on projects supporting vehicle decarbonisation and systems analysis, as well as for the U.S. Department of Energy Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office supporting the H2@Scale initiative. Elizabeth has a PhD in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia (USA).
