Nicolai Romanowski is Energy Manager of the EU chemical industry association, focussing on energy policy and its interface with competitiveness issues in the transition towards climate neutrality. As part of that role, he facilitates the industry’s position – amongst others – on industrial electrification and flexibility issues.

Prior to joining Cefic, Nicolai has been working on energy policy and mobility issues with the European refining industry association in a number of roles. He holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations with a focus on energy security from King’s College London.
