Susana Alejandro has been serving as President and CEO of the Saica Group since July 1st of this year and has been a member of its Board of Directors since 2019. Prior to her current role, she held the position of Director of Strategy and Corporate Development, a role she took on in 2013. During her tenure, she has developed several strategic initiatives focused on enhancing customer orientation, increasing operational efficiency, achieving the Group’s decarbonization goals, and ensuring sustainable growth through strategic investments with a €200 million annual investment.
Through various mergers and acquisitions (M&A), she has successfully led the company’s geographic expansion into Turkey, the United States, and Western Europe, including the acquisition of a key French competitor. Under her leadership, Saica Group has also diversified its business portfolio with the launch of a flexible packaging division.
After gaining three years of experience at a French subsidiary of the Mars Group, Susana joined Saica in 1996 as part of a program designed to develop future leaders within the company. In 2003, she assumed leadership of Saica Pack Iberia, and by 2010, she had risen to oversee the entire business unit, which generates €1.2 billion in annual revenue.
With a degree in Business Administration, Susana has continuously expanded her expertise throughout her career, completing additional training in areas such as taxation, strategic planning, and sales.
